Digital School of Theology

The Digital School of Theology is an educational project about Christian spirituality for the digital age. We seek to share knowledge about God and humanity and to promote the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness found in the Gospel of Jesus.

We believe that the study of theology is essential for developing a vision of the good life offered by the Kingdom of God. Through theological formation, we aim to encourage a Christian worldview that enables us to understand the spirit of the times so we can live in the light of the Good News of the risen Jesus in today’s society.

All of us do theology. Some in a more structured way, through careful reflection on the Bible and in dialogue with two thousand years of Christian spirituality and thought while others more intuitively, experientially, or personally. When we study theology intentionally, we take the time to treasure the heart of Christian orthodoxy: the living faith that the Church has proclaimed for twenty centuries.

Through meditation on the story of salvation found in the biblical narrative, we enter into communion with God and with all the saints of the past, present, and future who acknowledge that Christ is Lord. We want to gather a community of believers eager to think about and live out their faith in a way that is reasonable and relevant. We believe that reflecting on the eternal truths of the Christian faith fills us with grace and courage to engage respectfully with the urgent dilemmas of our generation.

At the Digital School of Theology, we use tools of the digital age to speak about God to a culture in constant flux thoughtfully, intellectually, practically, historically and contemporarily. Our goal is to provide an education capable of adapting to the theological, economic, and time-related needs that shape the Christian experience in the 21st century. Since we do not identify with a single denomination or theological tradition, people from different doctrinal backgrounds are welcome. Our theology is rooted in the healthy diversity of Christian orthodoxy, and it values the contributions of different theological perspectives without losing sight of the core truths that unite believers across all times and places. We believe that this wisdom, matured over the centuries, helps us discover our place in God’s great story.
